- Nexstar Computerized Telescope: The NexStar 6SE Computerized Telescope features Celestron's iconic orange tube design with updated technology and the latest features for amazing stargazing for beginners and experienced observers
- 6-Inch Aperture: The 6-inch primary mirror in this Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope for adults and kids to be used together packs enough light-gathering ability to observe the best that our Solar System has to offer while retaining a compact form factor
- Fully-Automated Go-to Mount: Featuring a database of more than 40, 000 celestial objects, the go-to mount built into our telescopes for astronomy beginners automatically locates and tracks objects for you
- Easy to Assemble and Break Down: The single fork arm design and sturdy steel tripod all assemble and break down from separate components for easy transportation. SkyAlign technology gets your telescope aligned and ready in minutes
- Celestron Nexstar 6SE SCT GoTo Telescope: Celestron's signature orange-tube telescope combines advanced features and excellent optics in one easy-to-use system, the NexStar 6SE. It's the perfect choice for your first serious telescope, offering striking views at an economical price
- Reimagined: In the 1970s, Celestron's Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes brought the hobby of astronomy to the masses and established Celestron as the world's premier telescope maker. The founder, Tom Johnson, invented Celestron's proprietary method of producing Schmidt corrector plates for superior views and maximum portability. Johnson believed in creating high-quality optical instruments at an affordable price and inspired a generation of amateur astronomers
- Four decades later, Celestron improved upon this design by adding cutting-edge features, while staying true to their founder's intent
- Revolutionary Design: The best telescope is the one you will use most often. That's why Celestron's engineers created NexStar SE's unique, patented single fork arm mount. It's perfectly portable and makes setup quick and easy. What's more, the NexStar SE breaks down into several lightweight and compact pieces, making it easy to transport, even in small vehicles. You'll have no problem getting the NexStar SE to your favorite observing site or setting it up quickly in your backyard. Of course, it's what's inside the mount that counts. Sturdy construction from high-quality components gives NexStar SE the pointing and tracking accuracy needed to observe and follow your favorite targets with push-button ease. Use the included NexStar+ hand control to locate over 40, 000 celestial objects, or take a Sky Tour and let your telescope show you the best objects currently visible
- Celestron 1.25-Inch Eyepiece and Filter Kit with Aluminum Case
- The most popular planetary filters are included in this kit. Have fun seeing what a blue filter will reveal about Jupiter, or unveil the polar ice caps on Mars with a red or orange filter. The Celestron 1.25-inch Eyepiece and Filter Kit is a great way to expand the functionality and enjoyment of your telescope
- Eyepieces: All five Plossl eyepieces can be used in any telescope with a 1.25-inch focuser. Each eyepiece features a four-element design with a 52 apparent field of view. The optics are fully multi-coated to improve light transmission and protect the optics. The 32 mm Plossl eyepiece offers a low power, wide field view in most telescopes, the 13 mm and 17 mm focal lengths are good medium-power oculars, and the 8 mm and 6 mm eyepieces provide high magnifications, great for the Moon and planets, especially when seeing conditions are good
- 2X Barlow Lens: The included, and very versatile 2X Barlow doubles the magnification of any 1.25-inch eyepiece. Since this kit includes five (5) eyepieces, you will be able to use them with and without the Barlow, giving you a total of ten magnification options in all. Any other 1.25-inch eyepieces you already have will also work in this desirable accessory, giving you even more magnification choices. Remember, high magnifications do not always produce clear, sharp results, especially on evenings of poor or moderate seeing conditions. Experiment to find the magnifications that are best for your telescope on a particular night
- Filters: Colored filters can be used to bring out certain details on a planet's surface or its cloud structure. All of the planetary filters included in the 1.25-inch Eyepiece and Accessory Kit, as well as the Moon filter, can be used on any 1.25-inch eyepiece with the proper filter threads, so they are very versatile. Just screw one onto your eyepiece of choice and slide it into
